Individual and Couples Psychotherapy

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Meet Mae

I believe each of us carries an inner healing intelligence, and that healing and growth are possible no matter what experiences have brought you to this moment. Providing a warm space for clients to develop wellbeing, I offer acceptance, deep listening, curiosity, and compassionate challenge. I work with individuals who deal with a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences (sexual abuse, PTSD, war trauma), relationship challenges, and creative/performance issues.

I earned my BA at University of Southern California, and my MSW at California State University Northridge. Prior to private practice I trained at the Department of Veterans Affairs providing individual and group psychotherapy to Veterans.

Utilizing holistic approaches to help you create the changes you seek, my work integrates insights from mindful self-compassion, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Hakomi, and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). I am trained in EMDR for the treatment of trauma,  Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for treatment resistant depression and PTSD,  and Brainspotting, a powerful brain-based modality that supports rapid emotional healing and psychological change.  My work is grounded in the research on the neurobiological basis of trauma and healing, and in attachment theory.
